After 32 years...

Gnomon, Inc., the first GIS firm established in Nevada, has ceased operations after 32 years in the world of GIS, custom information systems development, consulting, and (in our cultural resources division) archaeology and historic preservation. As of February 2026, we are no longer seeking new projects or clients.

We are proud to have helped geographic technologies and data move from a somewhat obscure but interesting tool to an essential foundation for government, business, and personal life. Over the course of more than 600 projects in Gnomon's portfolio, we sought to provide the best outcome for our clients.

We are also proud to have helped train and educate many professionals who, today, are regional and national leaders in geospatial information systems and in cultural resources and historic preservation.
